Length of the Articles
.... Another consideration should be in the length of each article. Here again, we should understand that less is more. New blog authors tend to write several pages at once, which is far too much material. A good article is at least half a type- written page in length and seldom longer than a page, with two-thirds of a page an appropriate goal. The articles should focus on one main point and only make other points in support of the main one. If it needs to say more than this, the mini-series is born. Such articles should be divided into two, three, or four or more parts.
.
.... Remember that on the other side of this equation, readers would be faced with reading long articles. They would not appreciate the extra effort, but rather, they would find it so tedious that they would not even begin reading them. Furthermore, the follow-up discussion over such a long article, with so many points, would become too scattered as it bounced from one point to the next without a convergence and consensus ever forming. So the authors should do everyone a favor, including themselves, by keeping these articles short and to the point (though of course, there should be room for their personalities to show through).

.... Obviously, this would save the authors time as well. If five authors do four short articles at once, and these articles are published twice weekly, they need only take time to contribute new articles every 70 days. And in the meantime, they’ll have plenty of quality time to decide what they want to say in the next round of articles.

.... With guest authors on board, the time requirements would be even more lenient. Guest authors, by the way, would be up-and-coming ministries of the same heart and mind in showing Jesus, whom the original five authors want to support. And if any of the original five ever becomes tired of blogging, they could switch place with a guest writer to make room for one who is more interested or has more time for it.
