The Scrolling Banner

.... In the left hand column, below the 'Welcome' mat, you'll see a small scrolling information banner. This will be used to announce the upcoming speaking engagements of the five authors, or to announce other important information in a timely way. It has been placed there very strategically so it can always be seen at once, as soon as the blog is called to the screen -- yet it remains small enough to be tasteful and non-intrusive.
